APPLICATION PROCESS FOR SUBSTITUTE
TEACHERS
Application
for Employment for Substitute Teaching Positions

for considering to Substitute Teach in the Valdosta City School System.
Please read the following information carefully.

For Payroll purposes, the following items
will be needed in order to process your application:
1. Driver's License
2. Social Security Card
3. Copy of High School Diploma or College Transcript |

Fingerprint cards are obtained from the
receptionist at the front desk. Fingerprinting may be completed at
the Valdosta Police Department on Thursdays from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
There is NO charge to the Police Department for this service.
Upon
returning your fingerprint cards to us, please be prepared to present a
non-refundable processing fee of $31.00, cash or money order only. |

Upon receipt of your completed substitute
teaching application, a scheduled training date and registration form
will be mailed to you. A training fee of $10.00 cash is due on the
day of the Substitute Training Workshop.
You must present your registration form to
attend the workshop. |

PLEASE NOTE:
Persons holding a Georgia or out-of-state
current or expired teaching certificate are required to participate in a
scheduled one-hour orientation training session instead of the
regular four-hour substitute training session. A
fingerprinting fee will still apply.
