Math Counts!
On Tuesday, April
29, the Math Club proudly represented Newbern in
the Valdosta State University Middle Grades Math
Competition. The team competed against twenty
other middle schools. Eighth-grader Michael
Settles, who placed 3rd in the sprint
rounds in February 2008 Math Counts competition,
placed among the top ten. Michael (back row,
second from right) also placed 3rd in
the region during the State Math Counts
Competition in March. The students made Newbern
very proud! |
