Newbern 8th grade service learners read for Earth Day at W. G. Nunn

On Tuesday, April 22nd, former W. G. Nunn students who are now middle school students at Newbern Middle returned to read to kindergartners as part of their Earth Day Celebration.

Students read the story “The Giving Tree", passed out Earth Day suckers, coloring pages and badges. The Newbern student also lead group of kindergartners in taking the Earth Day Pledge.

Newbern students that participated were Kameisha Denson, Deshaune March, Tysha Burgman, DaMarcus Lewis and Kadiedre Francois.
