Valdosta Middle School science students stay busy in April

Rhonne McBride's 8th grade students participated in the 2nd annual Valdosta Middle School Campus Clean-up to celebrate Earth Day. Students picked up and sorted over 2,000 pieces of trash. McBride's 2nd academic class collected and sorted 709 pieces of trash.  

Dr. Summers from Wilson Eye Center visited Rhonne McBride's 8th grade science classroom while students were working on a unit on sound and light waves. Dr. Summers came to tell students how the eye sees what is sees and also how glasses help the eye to function properly.
