SL Mason Succeeds in Jump Rope for Heart |
 WE
DID IT!!! The students’ goal was to perform 1 MILLION jumps to
help raise awareness about heart disease and stroke. We
completed 1,000,012 jumps over the course of 3 days cumulating
with our 13th annual Jump Rope for Heart celebration
on February 14, 2008. The school also raised over $3,000 to be

Dads on February 5, 2008. Dads, Granddads, Great-Granddads,

members came out from 8-11 to share a book and a donut. Thank

colleges or universities until National Signing Day this Wednesday,
February 6th. Valdosta
High School has several players that will participate. The

 The Valdosta Wildcats baseball team is hosting their 2nd
annual alumni game on Saturday February 9th. Sign-in
starts at 12 p.m. and the game starts at 1 p.m. Last year, 38
alumni participated in the game. There was a tremendous turnout
of wives, students, and parents. This year, VHS is looking to

School Celebration on Wednesday, January 23rd. Parents were

Nine Children Treated and
Released Following a VCS Bus Accident |

23, 2008 -
Valdosta City Schools bus #10 was
involved in an accident this morning while heading to Sallas
Mahone Elementary. Nine students, one bus driver’s aid and the
bus driver were transported to SGMC and all were treated and
released by 10:30 a.m. According to hospital spokesperson Laura

released following a Valdosta City Schools bus accident. VCS bus #9 was involved in an accident this morning
while leaving SL Mason Elementary heading to West Gordon

Receives 90 cases of Christmas Joy from Toys for Tots |

the area Toys for Tots organization. The toys filled the VCS
