Extensions are all 4 digits now. By dialing the
extension number of a phone you should be able to connect to
most phones within the system directly without going through
the receptionist. |

To transfer a call press "Transfer" then the extension.
Do not put the caller on hold. |
| 3. |
To dial a local outside number you must dial 9 then the
area code (even if its 229) then the number. This will be
the standard for all phones in the Valdosta area soon. |
| 4. |
To dial a long distance outside number you must dial 9,
then 1, the area code, then the number. |
| 5. |
Everyone has Voicemail including the classrooms that
have phones. Dial 6095 from your extension then follow the
instructions to set it up for the first time. Your user id
is your 4 digit extension number. Please make up a PIN
number, do not leave it blank. |

To check your Voicemail dial 6095 from your extension
then enter your pin number. Follow the instructions. Press
"1" for YES |

This is a
projected time line for the cabling infrastructure. This
timeline of events may change as the cabling progress. There
is currently no unforeseen reason why this job will not be
completed by Friday November the 2nd.

installations.

4-5, 2007- T-1 Installations are underway in the Technology
building and VHS by AT&T.
Aug 22-30, 2007-
Floor plans made of the BOE complex designating all phones in place and
new phones to be added.
Aug 21, 2007-
Maintenance requests for installations submitted to VCS Maintenance
Department for needed installations at BOE, Nutrition,
Warehouse, Curriculum, Technology, VHS, PLC, SE, WGN, WG, and SM.
Aug 16-17, 2007- AT&T Business Systems project team did a preliminary walkthrough to
verify needed preparations at each school. A few issues will have to be
addressed over the next couple of weeks to get ready for them to begin
installation.
Aug 3, 2007-Meeting with the AT&T Business Systems project manager NEC
Project Team and the NEC Project Team on August 16th to make
preliminary plans to begin the new phone system installation. At that
time we want to address any access requirements for AT&T and AT&T
Vendors during the project implementation. The project team will visit
two schools on the 16th and the AT&T field team will return
and visit all schools on the 17th to see if there are any
things that need to be done before the installation begins. Please let
me know of any requirements that need to be passed on to the workers for
accessing the sites as the system is installed.
