Mission
Valdosta Early College Academy is a
student-centered learning community committed to
providing engaging, rigorous academic
coursework. We promote the care and support
needed for all students to meet high
expectations and experience success in college
coursework prior to high school graduation.
Admission & Eligibility
Students are nominated for admission based on
several criteria: standardized test results,
attendance, and recommendations from current
teachers, school and community leaders.
Service Learning
Students will complete a minimum of 20 hours
of community service each year. Participation in
the community develops students’ appreciation
for Valdosta and enriches their understanding
and empathy for others.
Sports & Clubs
Students will be eligible for membership in
all sports and clubs offered by Valdosta Middle
School and Newbern Middle School. Academy clubs
may be formed based on student interest.
