New GHSGT/GHSWT Waiver and Variance Procedures


On December 7, 2005, the State Board of Education approved revisions to Rule 160-1-3-.09. The rule outlines the waiver and variance process for the Georgia High School Graduation Test and the Georgia High School Writing Test.

In order to be considered for a waiver or variance, a student must meet eligibility requirements. Please review the state board rules and FAQs before deciding to apply for a waiver or variance.
